I marked both shafts with a small piece of tape and turned it by hand and ratio appears to be approximately 2/1 I also have housing for sale on a separate listing. There are stamping of 408, 2 y also has number splines on input shaft to engine I thought it was from a 30hp vestibule diesel inboard for 28' sailboat but another er said it looks like it's a Zf bw6 m30 for Isuzu Pisces diesel. I was told it was a working take out but I am unable to test. It is stiff but does spin in forward and reverse using my hands.
