Details:

8fsi 'phi' series ford 290 original duo prop fuel injected marine engine. I'm parting out my 1995 Volvo Penta 5. Some of the paint peeled, but this unit is solid. I'm replacing the entire engine along with flywheel housing with a new gm 5.

The VP 351 was only available from 1995 to 1996 making it somewhat of a rare unit. 7 turn key carburetors package. It had about 1030 hours on it when it gave up the ghost, but it held up surprisingly well for the duration.

I ran it with 30w Castro TX oil and changed every 50 hours. The shaft has never seen water and the bearing feels fine. It was fresh water flushed after every use, and no water ever reached the bottom of the oil pan.

Numerous somewhat clean, usable, hard to find parts are up for the taking at a deep discount here. No complaints with Volvo. This has the fine 26 spline primary shaft. It ran perfectly up until a head gasket finally blew after 18 years of north east salt water service.
